If your water supply is untreated from a source such as a well, borehole or spring, then a UV system from Waterfiltersuk will give you clean, potable water without the use of chemicals or additives.

Ultraviolet sterilisation is a clean, chemical free and efficient method of treating water.

The UV light emitted by the lamp physically affects the DNA of organisms in the water supply, thereby eradicating up to 99.99% of bacteria, protozoa and viruses, such as e-coli, cryptosporidium, salmonella, etc (at recommended flow rates) to produce clean, wholesome potable water. Ultraviolet systems supplied by Waterfiltersuk are relatively maintenance free.

It is recommended that any UV system should be used in conjunction with a 5 micron pre-filter system to remove particles contained within the water prior to treatment. This prevents particles in the water from masking the effects of the UV light.

Pre-filters should be changed every six months, and the UV lamp only requires changing annually.
